Chris & Alison Brown

Christopher and Alison met in 1989 at a Full Gospel Business Men’s convention in Blackpool. Chris was a Court Enforcement officer and a member of the British Red Cross Society in his spare time; Alison was a Further Education lecturer. Retirement has taken them on a new journey as authors.

Proceeds from their work support students on the London International Bible College Distance Learning Courses. Christopher is the Course Administrator and Alison is the Main Assessor.

They rescued the College from closure in 2022, when the former dean, Dr Michael Vincent, went to be with the Lord. His book, The Miracle Pathway, has also been published in his honour to aid LIBC.

Christopher and Alison live in Welwyn Garden City and attend the Revival Church, under the ministry of the founders of LIBC, Dr Brad and Wyona Norman.

Three books, one thread

Written together

Chris and Alison write as a pair. Each book follows one Person of the Trinity and the way a life is shaped by knowing Him.

The Father’s Son

The workshop, the vine and the obedience of a Son

The third book in the sequence turns to Jesus — the carpenter’s bench, the vine and the vinedresser, and a Son who does only what He sees His Father doing. A study of Christ that stays close to the workshop floor.

Poems for Life and from the Heart

A collection of five books in one volume

It began in a moment of boredom, pen on paper. Wanting to pass on what God was saying, it came out as poetry. The poems gathered over ten years and sat in a file box before Chris typed them into five separate books — collected here to encourage and to give hope.

About the authors

From court enforcement and lecture halls to a college kept open

“Wanting to share what God was saying with others, somehow it flowed as poetry.”

Chris grew up in the West Sussex town of Worthing, the eldest son of a motorcycle mechanic. He left school at sixteen and would describe himself as non-academic, working a range of manual jobs before a career as a Court Enforcement officer.

He became a Christian in 1976. In 1989 met Alison, then a Further Education lecturer, at a Full Gospel Business Men’s convention in Blackpool. In 2025 they started to write together.

Today their writing serves the College they saved: proceeds from every title go to students on the London International Bible College Distance Learning Courses, where Chris is Course Administrator and Alison is Main Assessor.
